Midtown Riverside

Rooted here. Growing here.

If you own property in the proposed district, this is your process. Here's what's being explored, what it could mean for you, and how your voice shapes it.

Is my property included?

Check the proposed boundary map. Properties are included based on where the proposed services are expected to provide a special benefit.

Who's in control?

There's room in the story for you.

Formation is not guaranteed. A PBID moves forward only if property owners support it through two steps.

A

Petition

Owners receive petitions and a summary of the Management District Plan, expected November 2026. Petitions representing more than 50% of the total proposed assessments must be returned in favor before the City Council can consider the district.

B

Ballot and public hearing

If petitions succeed, owners receive mailed ballots (expected April 2027). The City Council then holds a public hearing, expected June 2027, where anyone can "hear and be heard," and the ballots are counted.

If your parcel is in the proposed district, you're encouraged to take part now, while services and priorities are still being shaped.
